We’re delighted to welcome Premier Partnerships aboard to assist in our corporate sales efforts. The L.A.-based company is a nationally recognized sports and entertainment sales and marketing firm focused on creating sponsorships for major facilities, events and properties. Premier Partnerships, which has a Dallas office, will focus on assisting the Host Committee with inventory, asset valuation, collateral development, and sales representation.

John Alper, Vice-President, Central Operations for Premier, will handle the account. John, who opened the company’s Dallas office in 2006, is no stranger to the North Texas sports scene. He served as Senior Vice President with FC Dallas and was named Major League Soccer’s Marketing Executive of the Year in 2002. He began his career in 1991 as an account executive for the Dallas Mavericks and the Director of Ticket Sales for the Dallas Sidekicks.

Welcome aboard John and team. We look forward to a dynamic working relationship. (to read the full news release click here)

Moving into a new office is never easy. When you have to hit the ground running like the HC did this past January, it’s that much more complicated. Thanks to our great partners, however, it was a snap.

PlainsCapital Bank and its CEO Alan White really stepped up by helping us with space for our Dallas office. Located on Turtle Creek, near the Mansion, the location really helps us project a professional image. Likewise Fort Worth Club CEO Walter Littlejohn assisted us with a tremendous space in that venerable building.

Of course, you can’t have an office without furniture. David Cain and Rob Johnson at CORT did a magnificent job of outfitting both our spaces. And while coffee isn’t the same type of necessity as desks — to many of us it is a necessity! So, thank you to Mitch Bakouris at Custom Coffee Plan for all your delightful flavors that get us up and going every work morning.

Later this summer the HC will announce its Emerging Business plan — a program mandated by the NFL to help women and minority owned business share in the great economic opportunities presented by the Super Bowl. In April I had the chance to travel to Miami for a few days and participate in one of the South Florida’s Host Committee’s Emerging Business Seminars. The South Florida group did a great job. To date, the North Texas Super Bowl XLV
Host Committee has confirmed seven
$1 million sponsorships. Monies from these
founding partners go towards the Host
Committee’s budget.
