MAKING THE ROUNDS

OPEN MIC: Bill Lively is interviewed by The Ticket’s Norm Hitzges.

No Super Bowl experience is complete without a visit to “Radio Row” in the Media Center. The area is made up of hundreds of sports-talk radio stations from around the country, all broadcasting live.

Three radio stations from the area made the trek to Florida—Sports Radio 1310 AM The Ticket, ESPN Radio 103.3 FM and 105.3 FM, The Fan.  All three were gracious enough to invite guests from the Host Committee onto their airwaves to promote the cause.

“We’re happy to help,” said George Dunham, co-host of the Ticket’s highly-rated morning drive show. “We’re just as excited as anyone to have the Super Bowl coming to our backyard.”

After playfully jousting with Randy Galloway and Nate Newton on ESPN Radio, Lively, who spent the last eight years helping to the get the new Dallas Center for the Performing Arts off the ground, quipped, “That’s one of the differences between this job and helping to build an opera house—you don’t get to be interviewed by big Nate in the latter.”
