Tony Dorsett, the Cowboys’ Hall of Fame running back and Host Committee member,
cannot count the number of Super Bowls he’s attended both as a player and a fan. But he
loves it.

“As a player, you try to become immune to all the stuff,” Dorsett said. “There are so many
distractions. You know it’s the biggest game on the biggest platform.

“You’ve got a lot of family coming in. That’s the thing right there that’ll give you a headache.
‘Where are we staying’ ‘Where are the tickets?’ ‘Can we see you?’ All of the stuff that’s going
on, players could really care less about.”

And today?

“Let me tell you something,” Dorsett said, “now that I’ve been able to experience it from
this vantage point, as a fan going into all the parties and seeing all the fun that’s going on –
aw, man, this is great. I can’t wait for this to come to North Texas. People in the Metroplex are
going to be great hosts; they’re going to put forth their best foot. And, you know, when you’re
in Texas, man, they do it big and they do it right.”
