World’s Third Busiest Airport Will Provide High Quality and Efficient Service

In fact, “every airport in North Texas will see increased air traffic” the week leading up to the game, according to Jeff Fegan, CEO of DFW and Board Member of the North Texas Super Bowl Host Committee. "We see this as a real opportunity to showcase our Airport and make a terrific first impression for fans that fly commercially or on private aircraft," said Fegan. "Our proximity to the new Cowboys Stadium and our expansive service places us at the epicenter for air traffic. DFW was built for, and continues to look forward to Super Bowl-size events." The Airport is also considering upgrades to existing facilities to ensure a first-class experience for corporate jet passengers coming to the game. "We know that business deals are done at the game and business leaders make decisions based on their experiences,” said Fegan. The Airport is frequently mentioned as a key factor in Fortune 500 relocations to North Texas. AT&T and Research In Motion (RIM) are the latest major corporations to cite air service and connections at DFW as a primary reason for their move. DFW is already working with the FAA and area airports on air traffic management plans to ensure on-time arrivals as well as post-game departures, crystallizing the region’s positive image in the consumers’ mind. “The post-game departures on Sunday night are critical to the success of the region’s aviation plan,” says Fegan. “With DFW’s seven runways and the numerous other airports in the region we have the capacity to quickly send Super Bowl fans off to their next destination. The final impression is as equally important to us as the first and we won’t disappoint.” |
