Jim Kirk is an internationally renowned “message architect” and expert in organizational transformation.  He founded the award-winning agency CorporateMagic in 1984, which was acquired by Gaylord Entertainment in 2000.  In 2005, Kirk re-purchased 50 percent of the agency, which he now leads as its President and Chief Creative Officer.

Jim has gained the admiration of business leaders worldwide by skillfully guiding the transformation of corporate cultures through his insightful and innovative messaging, always grounded in solid research and analysis. His philosophy is that by first changing people’s hearts, you can motivate them to action, and make it last.

Jim distinguished himself early in his career by creating and producing music for American Top 40 and American Country Countdown, in addition to familiar jingles and promotional scores for ABC, NBC, CBS, BBC and hundreds of radio and television stations around the globe. He soon caught the eye (and ear) of Roy Disney, who hired him in 1980 as creative director for TM Productions, where he created and produced more than 6,500 commercials and station IDs.

Over the last 25 years, Jim has led the business experts at CorporateMagic in conceptualizing, designing and producing major communications events for their trend-setting clients.  He has surrounded himself with a gifted team of professionals with impressive track records in a wide array of industries – from Wall Street to Silicon Valley, Broadway to Hollywood, the board rooms of the Fortune 500 to the bright lights of Las Vegas.

CorporateMagic excels as a preeminent communications and event production firm, producing shows for some of the world’s most successful companies, including Aflac, Boeing, Chevrolet, Coca-Cola, Ford Motor, IBM, Kraft, the National Football League, Nortel, Procter & Gamble, Prudential, Rite Aid and Sherwin-Williams. Jim and his team have received dozens of awards, including Emmys, Grammys, Golden Radios, New York Film Festival Top Honors and International Staging Top Honors.

Under Jim’s leadership and guidance, CorporateMagic created and produced the widely acclaimed syndicated program American Moments, starring the late Charles Kuralt and James Earle Jones. Jim has also staged extraordinary productions for such chart-topping artists as Garth Brooks, Toby Keith, Sheryl Crow and Carrie Underwood.

At the behest of countless associates and clients, Jim recently began work on two books designed to share the wisdom he has gained over more than four decades in business.  The first, entitled Take My Breath Away, explores the power of emotions and how they affect everything in our personal and professional lives.  The second, yet-to-be–titled volume offers Jim’s unique insights into creating a “fantastic” culture in today’s corporation.
